Ok, this is all taken from here- forums.animeondvd.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=596176&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1
""Tim Ervin-Gore was Dark Horse's lone rep yesterday. As appears to be the running theme from manga studios here (except TOKYOPOP), there were no "official" new announcements.
Basically, Tim gave us the rundown of how DH will be presenting their manga from now on. Titles will be in right-to-left format, in sizes that reflect the current market, with original SFX intact translated with small subs, and with the original cover art.
There will be some exceptions. Some titles under contract will remain in their current formats, but those are mainly the titles they have with Digital Manga Publishing.
Tim mentioned new releases of Gunsmith Cats, You're Under Arrest and Ah! My Goddess. Yes there will be a title change when that series goes right-to-left. Tim also made note that AMG will soon finish its monthly run, start the GNs from where the monthlies left off while they will start bringing out the first volumes.
There were no "official" titles mentioned. Tim did say that recently there was an agreement in the works with Koike Kazuo to publish his library, Koike Shoin. DH has released Lone Wolf and Cub with success and will start with Koike's Samurai Executioner (Kubi-kiri Asa) soon. Crying Freeman was a title tossed around, as there appears to be word that the current license may have expired. Tim said that plans work out you may see most of Koike titles but only market would determine if his random golf and sports titles would come over.
I asked if future Koike titles would be in bunkyo size and left-to-right and he said they should be making Samurai Executioner right-to-left after the initial run. They kept it that way to keep fans of Lone Wolf. And with that, readers should expect a wide-ban right-to-left version of Lone Wolf in the future (which is being done because Koike Shoin has done a reprint in this size using American coverart).
The rest of the panel was spent collecting requests. Dark Horse still has a good relationship with Kodansha but Tim noted that often when people make requests at events like this those titles often end up getting snapped up by the competition.
New titles:
Posted in their SDCC report for Dark Horse Comics, Comicon mentions two new manga titles for DH.
Monkey King (Mar)
Katsuya Terada (w/a)
The baddest ape in ancient China is on an impossible mission to find the sacred scrolls of the Buddha.
Hipira: The Little Vampire (April)
Katsuhiro Otomo (w) Shinji Kimura (a)
A vampire tries to find his way to Hell, which is like heaven for vampires.
I don't know anything about these titles, but it's interesting to see Otomo's name attached to one of them...""
