I was just wondering if there has been any word what so ever of an appearance by Peorth in the new tv series. It looks as if almost everyone who's had a role to play in the manga is bound to show up some time, if the opening credits is any indication of how far they plan to take the series, but no sign of Peorth...unless I missed something... I love the later dynamic between her and Urd, my one, true goddess of love , and I seriously feel that the series would benefit greatly from it. However, there was a hinting at Hild, and they do need Peorth for that...anyway, does anyone know? -yUmI-

This current TV anime is going to be limited to 26 episodes, but Mr Ghoda has repeatedly said he wants to do more, hopefully the whole manga series to its end. So the inclusion of Hild and other future characters in the opening montage could be just teasers and doesn't prove they'll show up in the first 26.
More importantly, there has been no definite news about how far into the manga series this first 26 episodes will reach, especially since it is now obvious that they're skipping and combining manga stories.
Originaly, I'd thought the first run of the TV anime was going to end after the Terrible Master Urd arc. That seemed a good cutoff point for the story, with the second run ending after the Fourth Goddess arc.
However, the way the TV episodes have started doing some major leapfrogging now has me wondering if they're not going to push the 26 episodes to include the Fourth Goddess arc after all. I've projected a possible sequence to the remaining 14 episodes that shows this is possible while still including most of the major manga events (the ninja are in danger though). The next couple of episodes should prove if my ideas are right. (Skuld should be appearing in the next episode (13), Terrible Master Urd would be a two part episode after that, and then we'll see.)
As for Hild, she may get a preview scene during the Terrible Master Urd arc or when Mara brings in Senebei. Either would work ("So how are you doing with that little assignment I gave you, Mara-chan?")

After a little further thought, it could be equally possible the plan is to end the first run after the Demon Urd arc and start the second series with the Fourth Goddess arc.
Peorth's introduction certainly marked a major turning point in the manga's story line and style and would be a great jumping off point for a new series. And it would free up at least two episode slots so they could include the remaining major storys in the first series.
That would be why Peorth wasn't in the opening montage, she's going to be a featured player in the next series.

I think he means that they are doing it similar to Ghost in the shell; stand alone complex. They are doing 26 episodes with a possibility of more if the show is a hit. More goddesses and demons would be included then during the second season to keep the show fresh and entertaining. Am I right?

Yes, they did! May on the 18th, episode 7 of the second season. Wonder if they will have the events that where triggered in chapters 94 thru 101 for the season finally.
