Just a question I have. AMS has been around for 15 years, since 1989, but how come it's only got around 30 volumes, while something like naruto has been around for I'd say 3 years? and it has nearly 30 volumes already.
Sorry, just wanting to know, is it cuz AMS isn't popular in Japan?
I'm just a fresh addict, got hooked by the first 4 eps of TV series, then the movie, then the manga, but I'm desperately wanting for more at the end of chapter 196. Please don't tell me I have to wait 1 month for a chapter!!

That's because AMG is a monthly title while Naruto is a weekly title. There are only 12 new chapters of AMG per year compared to 52 of Naruto. So yes, you have to wait a month between chapters. Nothing will change that short of Afternoon (AMG's host magazine in Japan) switching to a weekly schedule and that's unlikely to happen.

Dark Horse is changing how it published the manga AND is republishing the earlier titles. I REALLY hope (but I'm not holding my breath) that in addition to getting unflipped artwork (finally), we'll get the Japanese honorifics placed into the text. We'll see what happens.
